Why is Azure the best choice for startups? Part 1

Startups are all about innovation and efficiency with a focus on cost savings and pre-defined results, so when a startup looking for a cloud service, these are some of the things they looking for. Ease of deployment, cost (something that could be a decider in many cases), the ability to scale up or down, and more. Azure is the newest player to enter the cloud services market while the company is no matter is small by any stretch of the imagination, but the company has made an effort to reach out and serve companies of all shapes and sizes.  Below mentioned are some of the reasons why startups go with Azure instead of the well-established players on the market.

Cost

Azure comes with Microsoft’s BizSpark program which Microsoft’s startup-friendly program. Under this program, companies can sign up for cloud services with no credit card even, in this period companies are strictly on a trial period with not even requiring sign an SLA with Microsoft Azure. And as far as pricing is concerned, Microsoft Azure comes with a “pay as you go” model and there is also a feature called “spending limit” where startups can leverage on-demand services with instore credits while in the trial period. Even during the trial period companies can use multiple Microsoft Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Web Apps, Cloud Services, Mobile Services, Storage, SQL Databases, Content Delivery Network, HDInsight, Media Services, and many more.

Backup and Disaster Recovery

Like everything with Microsoft Azure, the data backup and the disaster recovery service is also available in different tiers. This helps startups to choose a plan which will be cost-effective and effective with requirements and expectations as well. A data backup and data recovery are imperative any organization of any size, to begin with, having a robust data backup and disaster recovery can help startups in case of a disruption, corruption, security breaches, or accidental deletion as well. Azure’s data backup plan is highly reliable, simple to implement, it’s cloud-native and simple to the architect as well. When it comes to data recovery plans, Azure provides enterprise-level recovery plans where startups can run their applications on reductant sites during the recovery plans as you get no downtime during the development or deployment phase.

Blockchain and IoT

Many of the startups are made on the foundation of the latest technologies such as big data, AI, IoT, and the lot. Azure with support for the latest technologies such as AI, Big data, and Blockchain out of the box at no extra cost. Startups can use Azure Blockchain Service to connect applications, databases, and more. Startups can use the Azure Blockchain Workbench template tp create new applications on the base of the blockchain itself. Two or more applications based on Blockchain can be interconnected with the Azure Blockchain Development Kit. As far as IoT is concerned, startups can use Azure’s IoT Edge to get added advantage, and startups can use  Azure marketplace for precoded APIs too
